During the compressor off-cycle, the HTR0186E maintains optimal oil separator temperature to prevent liquid refrigerant migration. This stops dangerous oil foaming and viscosity loss during startup, safeguarding precision bearings from catastrophic failure.

🛠️ Critical Service Upgrade Notice (Trane Bulletin RT-SVB17A-E4)

Older Trane lines utilized legacy, non-regulated 95-Ohm heaters. These older styles constantly overheated the oil reservoir, leading to oil degradation, high acidity, and eventual corrosion burn-through of the stainless steel sensor well (WEL0023E), causing severe refrigerant and oil leaks.

💡 Pro-Service Tip: If you measure a constant 95-Ohm resistance on your current heater, you are running the high-risk, obsolete legacy part. Upgrading to the thermo-regulated HTR0186E along with a new WEL0023E sensor well during scheduled maintenance is highly recommended to eliminate leakage risks.
